Caulking, Cladding & Porch Ceilings in Ancaster, Hamilton & Burlington

Exterior caulking, aluminum cladding for beams and posts, and finished porch ceilings. The small jobs that make the whole exterior look complete and keep water out of it.

The details that finish an exterior

The details other contractors leave behind

Not every job is a full re-side or a new roof. Caulking, cladding the beams and posts, and finishing a porch ceiling are the details that stop water getting in and make a home look properly finished. We do them as stand-alone jobs or as the last step of a bigger project.

Exterior caulking is the first line of defence at every window, door, corner and penetration. When it cracks or pulls away, water follows. We cut out the failed material and re-seal with the right product for the joint.

Porch beams and posts, and the ceiling above them, are usually painted wood that needs doing again every few years. Cladding them in aluminum and finishing the ceiling in vented soffit gives you a clean, maintenance-free porch that matches the rest of the exterior.

Finishing questions

Will you do caulking on its own?

Yes. Re-caulking windows, doors and trim is a stand-alone job we are happy to take on.

What does cladding a beam or post involve?

The wood stays in place and is wrapped in formed aluminum, sealed at the joints. It stops rot, ends repainting and matches the fascia and trim on the house.

Can you redo my porch ceiling without rebuilding the porch?

In most cases, yes. We install a new soffit ceiling over the existing structure and finish the edges with matching trim.
